2022 Results
Perhaps Matt M. best summed up Crush the Commonwealth 2022 with his eloquent quote, “It was long, it was windy, it was fun, it was miserable, it was many things.” Seems about right. Sixteen riders gathered near the Liberty Bell in the chilly pre-dawn hour ready to take on the challenge of CtC westbound (traditionally the “harder” direction.) They were greeted with fair skies, but a persistent headwind made certain they worked for every mile of progress toward Pittsburgh. Stewart Gross came in solo first place in an extraordinary 24h 37m, setting a new westbound course record in the process. Second in was Andrew Arkebauer in 31h 39m, and Steven Kunsak finished third in 34h 3m. Full results are listed below:
